Quelques expériences de la famille d'Elango

Some Experiences of Elango's Family
Victoria

Many old times devotees should have known Shri Elango from Bangalore who was a frequent visitor to the Yogi Ramsuratkumar Ashram. The entire family is devoted to Bhagavan. The wife, son and daughter continue to come to the Ashram to get Bhagavan's blessings. They are ardent in their devotion.

Elango used to be a heavy smoker. His family members and friends tried their best to discourage him but with no effect. His physician also advised him to at least cut down his smoking but all the pleas and advises fell on deaf cars. He must have thought that he know better.

Until one day he opened his mouth to speak and no sound came out. His throat had been deeply affected, the vocal chords appeared frozen! He consulted several doctors they offered palliatives but nothing brought back his voice. It was then that he remembered Bhagawan Yogi Ramsuratkumar who is all love and concern. It is absolutely correct to say that we begin to remember the Divine only after all our many efforts have totally failed.

Bhagawan listened patiently to Muthummeenakshi's (Elango's wife) recital of this tale of woe, and assured them that Elango would be alright and gave him a sugar candy.

He continued to give him sugar candy for the next three days and bestowed his loving care and attention. At the end of three days Elango regained his voice.

The entire circle of relatives and friends were thrilled at this remarkable recovery and the doctors were astonished "Have you stopped smoking?" They could not believe their ears when they were told that Bhagawan's will, in the form of sugar candy, had restored his voice!

A few years ago the night of agong Elango passed away. His death came as a rude shock to the family. His daughter Dolly (Venmal) was in a state of shock, deeply grieved and angry. Angry because of unfulfilled promises. All those emotions were overpowering. She was in Chennai at that time and had to reach Bangalore at the earliest. She and her cousin decided to drive down.

As they neared Vellore they found that the Highways were dark and the road was illumined only by the headlights of the car. There was a lorry parked on the left side of the road which could not be seen sufficiently in advance. Venmal panicked and applied the brakes with all the vehemence that her agony generated, the car halted within a few feet of the parked 1orry.

A shadowed figure appeared to supply strength to stop the car. Veemal understood that the strange vision was that of Bhagawan. Though in her panic and shock she could not have a clear look.

Miraculously the car stopped missing the lorry by the distance between his car and the lorry was not sufficient to halt the car without hitting the lorry given the speed at which the car travelled. But the car did halt within a few feet of the parked lorry and a major disaster was averted.

Veenmal feels that the shadowy figure is none other than Bhagawan who with superhuman strength had averted the crash.
