Shri Kumaramurthi wanted to share a touching incident that he had heard. He met Shri Bhavani Shankar who is a long time devotee of Bhagawan. In the course of their talks about Bhagawan Shri Kumaramurthi mentioned an episode which was deeply moving. He said that in the sixties, many reformists would meet Bhagawan and talk to Him freely without the least inkling of what Bhagawan was. They used to hold meetings periodically and once they invited Bhagawan also. He readily agreed, came and sat in the rear row. These public meetings would normally be badly organised, with a lot of confusion. But that day everything went without a hitch.

Bhagawan was sitting in the last row and he was frequently turning around and peering through the door. The sky had darkened and it started drizzling, soon turning into a downpour.
Bhagawan dashed out, gathered all the chappals and brought them in.

Later he explained that these people were very poor and could hardly afford a new pair. These
chappals, once soaked in rain would be soggy and become quite useless! Exclaiming at the compassion of Bhagawan Kumaramurthi said that he was deeply touched.

Bhavani Shankar said that the way Bhagavan saved his baby was incomparable. He said that when His baby was born it was still, no movement whatsoever and immediately he was rushed to the ICU where the baby was connected to a number of tubes including artificial respiration. The doctors explained that there was very little hope that the child would survive and further they could not indefinitely put him on artificial life support system. They would continue with this treatment for three or four days. If the child did not show signs of recovery, they would remove the artificial life support system.

Every day Bhavani Shankar would be told this and 'his signature indicating consent would be obtained by the nurse.

The wife, when told about the fate of the baby was very strongly of the view that Yogi Ramsuratkumar would save the baby "I was drawing the picture of Bhagawan and immediately thereafter conceived; so this is definitely Bhagawan's gift to us and He wou1d surely save the baby." Bhavani Shankar's faith was reinforced and they started praying to
Bhagawan intensely.

The third day after birth, when the baby still showed no sign of life, the doctors said that there was no hope at all that the baby would survive. The paper that they wanted Bhavani Shankar to sign by way of consent, explicitly stated that if the baby showed no sign of life the next day, the artificial life support system would be withdrawn and the baby would die.

When Bhavani Shankar read the line "the baby would die," he was seized by sheer misery. Eyes filled with tears he looked round, and saw several babies in the ICU all struggling for life. Yogi Ramsuratkumar! The cry rose from deep within his heart. "Oh! Bhagawan! you must save all the fourteen babies who are struggling to live, including this baby which is your gift."

He wrote, "Yogi Ramsuratkumar" in the form given by the nurse. He and his wife now intensely prayed to Bhagawan to save all the fourteen babies now in the ICU.

The next day in the evening their child showed a little movement and slowly started ingesting milk. The wonder! The miracle! The medical staff were even more amazed since they were more aware of the hopelessness of the situation. The baby recovered and so did all the other babies in the ICU. It was a sight for the Gods that all the fourteen babies were discharged from the ICU on the same day!

The immense faith of the parents that the baby is Bhagawan's gift, the baby would be surely saved, their compassion for the other children who were similarly struggling in the ICU, their prayers to save all of them had moved that perennial source of love and compassion to shower
His grace on all of them. How vibrant the atmosphere must have been at the ICU on those days!
