Shri Lakshmana Chettiar, resident of Tiruvannamalai, is an ardent devotee of Yogi Ramsuratkumar. He, his wife Valliammai Achi and other members of his family also became devotees of Bhagawan.

Once Valliammi Achi fell ill. When they were in Pagalur near Hosur, one morning she fainted twice causing everyone great anxiety. Everyone around her advised her to consult a physician but she resolutely resisted it, she demanded that she should be taken to Swamiji at Tiruvannamalai and declared that she could not take any medicine unless directed by Swamiji. Lakshman Chettiar was getting scared at her refusal to consult any physician. Finally he gave in and sent for a taxi.

They started at about 01.00 p.m. and reached their home at Tiruvannamalai at around 05.00 p.m. Lakshmanan Chettiar left his wife at home and proceeded to the Sannadhi Street residence of Bhagavan. He was not sure whether he could take his wife whose health appeared fragile.

He complained about his wife's health and sought Bhagavan's advise. Bhagavan very considerately told him to bring his wife at 09.00 a.m. the next day and so they presented themselves before Bhagavan at 09.00 a.m.

At that time an elderly man came to Bhagavan, prostrated and offered some sweets packed in a vessel. The sweet is called 'Porivilangai Urundai". Bhagavan called Valliammai and gave her one and directed her to eat. She ate half of it and kept the balance in her hand, worried about the effect of the sweet on her diabetis. Bhagavan said, "You have not eaten it? You should eat the whole of it. It is the correct medicine for your body. Big doctor has brought this to you." Saying this he handed over one more sweet and directed her to take that also.

Even though, Lakshmana Chettiar understood that the sweet blessed by his touch would change accordingly, he was still fearful of the nature of his wife's illness and had this fear that she may have to undergo multiple tests to rule out any major health issue. He hesitantly asked Bhagavan whether Valliammai should he taken to Chennai for a through check up. Bhagavan said, "Father says there is nothing wrong with Valliammai. But you may consult a doctor for your own satisfaction."

Lakshman Chettiar and his wife went to Chennai where Valliammai was admitted to the Isabella Nursing Home where they ran a series of tests for a week. Nothing wrong could be detected.

Now Lakshman Chettiar realised that Bhagavan is the greatest physician and no medicine or treatment could match His Grace.

Lakshman Chettiar a pris peur devant son refus de consulter un médecin. Finalement, il a cédé et a fait venir un taxi.

Ils sont partis vers 13h00 et sont arrivés à leur domicile à Tiruvannamalai vers 17h00. Lakshmanan Chettiar a laissé sa femme à la maison et s'est rendu à la résidence de Bhagavan Sannadhi street. Il n'était pas sûr de pouvoir emmener sa femme dont la santé semblait fragile.

Il s'est plaint de la santé de sa femme et a demandé l'avis de Bhagavan. Bhagavan lui a dit très gentiment d'amener sa femme le lendemain à 9 heures et ils se sont donc présentés devant Bhagavan à 9 heures.

À ce moment-là, un vieil homme est venu voir Bhagavan, s'est prosterné et a offert des sucreries emballées dans un récipient. Le bonbon est appelé "Porivilangai Urundai". Bhagavan a appelé Valliammai, lui en a donné un et lui a demandé de le manger. Elle en a mangé la moitié et a gardé le reste dans sa main, inquiète de l'effet du bonbon sur son diabète. Bhagavan lui a dit : "Vous ne l'avez pas mangé ? Vous devez le manger en entier. C'est le bon médicament pour votre corps. Le grand docteur vous l'a apporté." En disant cela, il lui a tendu un autre bonbon et lui a demandé de le prendre aussi.

Bien que Lakshmana Chettiar ait compris que le bonbon béni par son toucher se transformerait en conséquence, il était toujours effrayé par la nature de la maladie de sa femme et craignait qu'elle doive subir de multiples tests pour écarter tout problème de santé majeur. Il a hésité à demander à Bhagavan si Valliammai devait être emmenée à Chennai pour un examen complet. Bhagavan a répondu : "Père dit que tout va bien pour Valliammai. Mais vous pouvez consulter un médecin pour votre propre satisfaction."

Lakshman Chettiar et sa femme se sont rendus à Chennai où Valliammai a été admise à la maison de retraite Isabella où ils ont effectué une série de tests pendant une semaine. Rien d'anormal n'a pu être détecté.
