His Holiness Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar, the Godchild of Tiruvannamalai
is a very rare soul coming in the line of the great masters of
light and wisdom of India.
In the words of Truman Caylor Wadlington who has written on this
Godchild "Ramsuratkumar is a striking figure possessing a
countenance of benignity and philosophical habits of thought.
His walk and his laughter are somehow like that of a child, and
his words are simple, straightforward and honest. Presently, he
lives an abstemious and inconspicuous life dressed in the rags
of a beggar. His simple and eccentric ways permit him to remain
engrossed in his work all the hours of the day".
"Some people see in him a madman; to others he is a joyous
dreamer; to others again he is an intense thinker; -while for
a few, he is a child living a life rich with the idea of love
and beauty and spirit; but to all he is a scion of aristocratic
strength. When he grows serious, his face strikes awe into the
hearts of his companions, and when he is absorbed in his thoughts,
he sends such a force of repelling reserve that it almost seems
as if a wall of silence is circumscribing him".
Yogi Sri Romsuratkumar's main emotional and intellectual impulse
is that of Unity. He never preaches, but in his quiet discussions
with friends and aspirants of truth, there is a constant harking
back in his thought to a central Source behind the phenomena of
the tangible universe and also to the movement that marks the
tendency to refinement and harmonisation in the hierarchical levels
of Nature and which makes its demand on ail of embodied existence.
He asserts that from this Source arise the creative and evolutionary
impulses of man and the Universe; so that unity is not an arbitrary
or fictitious idea, but the secret foundation of all things. The
Spirit is moved from a simple to a complex oneness, and humanity
as well as all form-life, evolves through diversity and moves
toward unity. Thus, the unity of mankind is part of Nature's plan.
Sri Ramsuratkumar states that the advent of world unity and peace
will be the first step towards achieving the Life Divine on earth."
This assessment gives a graphic description of the sage of Tiruvannamalai.
I had the privilege of meeting him quite a few times and I found
in him a pristine purity and inner divinity which are not normally
present in various Godmen.
The greatness of Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar is seen in the fact that
he is not attached to any worldly possessions. He does not demand
any money or gifts which characterise almost all Godmen today.
In this, Yogi of Tiruvannamalai is unique.
Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar is a model beggar and he begs for humanity.
In the presence of this beggar (he calls himself proudly so often),
you feel great. All that he could give you is only BLESSINGS in
the name of FATHER.
What more do you want or can you wish?
A -smile, an intensive look gives you Amrit and nectar starts
flowing in to you. It is really an Eternal Experience to meet
the simple Godchild of Tiruvannamalai.
