In every birth and for all time to come we are closest to you and will be your slaves. May you destroy our all other desires.
This is the song of Godha Nachiar. Did she pray for Herself?
Is it not the prayer for us?
Bhagavan incarnates as yogis and mahatmas in this Kaliyuga? Such
an avatar is our Yogi Ramsuratkumar. With His grace I would like
to share the experiences of His lilas in my life with all devotees.
During the Vamana jayanti last year, Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar
appeared, and manifested all the ten avatars (of Mahavishnu).
He also asked me to prepare "Uppuma" for Him. After
the afternoon nap I got up and prepared uppuma. A little later
an ardent devotee of Bhagavan came and when I narrated the dream
to him, he exclaimed, "Amma, I have not had any food today.
Bhagavan knowing this has directed you in the dream to prepare
food."
He joyfully ate the uppuma. A person's thoughts arise even when
the person is asleep and manifests as a dream. This is an absolute
truth? Shri Kanchi Paramacharya has also blessed me that this
is a boon granted by the Goddess Kamakshi in order to understand
my heart.
Gnanananda and Bhagavan used to appear in my dreams and forewarn me of events to come and give me directions. My husband used to remark humorously, "you should not be allowed to sleep, you keep saying something" and make fun of me. Only after the events foretold in my dreams came to pass he would accept what I said.
A famous astrologer and my own instinct told me that I would live only for fifty years. Around that time I had a nightmare in which the Lord of Death appeared in a terrifying form, with a weapon in his hand and threatened me to come away. A few days later this a tumour had grown in my bosom, broke, causing excessive bleeding, leaving my life in danger. My husband immediately took me from the village to Chennai. The tumour was removed by surgery. I stayed in the hospital for 45 days receiving medical attention. Bhagavan was informed by my son Arun on the day of operation and Bhagavan gave his blessings "Jayalakshmi will be well."
We went to Tiruvannamalai after I recovered and became mobile. Bhagavan also made me walk in front of him and blessed me with both hands raised. At that time the same terrifying figure which I saw in my nightmare appeared in front of the Sannadhi street house and shouted "Come out, come out". Bhagavan told my husband "Appan, ask him to go away." My husband was unable to see that person standing a mere eight feet away. He said, "There is nobody there swami." Bhagavan said, "He has gone; you don't have to go." That frightening figure was seen only by Bhagavan and me.
Bhagavan made Saibaba (this was the dog Saibaba II) lie down between Bhagavan and myself. He took a packet of biscuits, ate one, gave ine to Saibaba and then gave me one by one. He said, "By Father's Grace, Jayalakshmi will be alright. Nothing to worry. Wait and see for one week. Please drop a letter to this beggar. Will you do (it) for this beggar's sake Appa, Jayalakshmi will be alright." He mentioned the eighth day from that day and directed that the letter be written on that day. My health improved gradually. We also wrote to Bhagavan.
The Jeer of Ahobila Mutt was camping at Tiruvannamalai for (raising funds for) building the southern tower. Bhagavan directed us to have darshan of the Jeer and convey to Himself the last word that the Jeer uttered. Both of us had darshan (of the Jeer). He is the acharya for my parent's family. He knew me very well. He made affectionate enquiries about my family and blessed us. His final word during the interview was "Narayana". We went to Bhagavan's Sannadhi street abode at 5 p.m. with my father in-law to inform Bhagavan of the darshan. He was talking about God, Srimad Ramanuja and make me sing songs on Sri Ramanuja from 5 p.m. to 12 p.m. At 12 p.m. midnight he gave me mantropadesam of "Om Namo Narayana" and then, went to a room in the rear of the house to sleep.
He sent my father in-law also to take rest. He asked my husband to be with Him till 3 a.m. He directed that he should get Diksha of the Ashtakshara mantra from our Acharya and we followed His advice.
Bhagavan is manifest in many places in the form of statues. He is called, "Achcham Tavirtha Srinivasan" in our village (the Lord who drives away fear). The fear that cannot be rid of is the fear of death or rebirth. Those who are liberated will not be born again, is it not? That is why Bhagavan has sent us to do service to "Achcham Tavirtha Srinivasan".
His grace is in every nook and corner. He has assured us that
He is with us even if we chant His nama once. Therefore we have
no fear to live in a remote village without even basic facilities.
We take refuge in his Holy Feet.
