Adi Sankaracharya says in a sloka propitiating Shri Dakshinamurti.
Here the silence is more eloquent than any other cration or
discourse. We have been fortunate to have amidst us such seers
whose presence itself had been a source of inspiration and spiritual
communion. One such had been Shri Ramana Maharishi, whose divinity
hallowed Tiruvannamalai, which itself has been a sanctuary of
many saints. Tradition of spiritualism at this Jnana Bhumi of
Arunachaleshvara is in its continuum by the blessed and benign
presence of most revered Swamiji Ramsuratkumar.
"He is a theoretician of evolution and a practitioner of
evolution, a seer of the wisdom and a giver of the wisdom . At
an young age of 34 years, he had the spiritual illumination. Truman
Caylor Wadlinglon, while writing on the Yogi, says that "his
spiritual illumination was, in effect, the creation of one of
those transcendental LIGHTS which acts like a search-light, piercing
the great ocean of consciousness, illuminating the way for humanity
and revealing to men the path which they can and must travel".
How true are these words is known to those who have had such an
experience in the presence of the Yogi.
To a common man, uninitiated, Swamiji looks like someone dressed
in rags. Swamiji also calls himself a 'beggar' . He lives a simple
life and takes any offering given to him by the devotees. He is
childlike in His walk, laughter and expression. Very simple in
his words, but touches the core of the heart of those who had
been blessed by his presence. He gives to them solace, unlimited.
"Yogi Ramsuratkumar of Tiruvannamalai" - to his devotees
he is "God-child of Tiruvannamalai", "Yogi"
, "Mystic" , "Gnani" , "Saint" ,
"Siddha" , "Gurudev" and many more, but he
defies the definitions of all and emerges as the living saint
at work, undertaking a silent mission to transform the humanity.
He subjects himself to sufferings; shuns worldly pleasures/facilities;
foregoes all physical comforts. He always prays for "Ram
Rajya" in the land of Bharat, our motherland, and "Bharat"
to lead the world. He moulds personalities into perfect instruments
to change the destiny of the mankind and the nation.
Many come to him from different parts of the world, at ail levels
by worldly standards and spiritual standards. People come for
different purposes, with different aims but all return with the
bliss and kindled heart. He always teaches that one should come
to him making oneself fit to receive the blessing of "His
Father", the Almighty, who is ready to shower the blessings
through him. He is always willing to pray for us, plead for us
and even take the sufferings for us. His prayers are always answered.
He does not prescribe rituals difficult to follow, scriptures
hard to absorb - but only to remember "Father" always
and chant the divine rnantra "Shri Ram Jaya Ram, Jaya Jaya
Ram". Good life follows and one comes near and near to "Father"
.
I had the privilege of being with him sometime in June, 1987 and again during March, 1988. All I could ask from him was 'prosperity of Neyveli Lignite Corporation" . The blessings I received from him enlightened me spiritually. The task that lay ahead looked simple and within grasp. His divine grace has stood me well. I offer my salutations to him.
