When man is mastered by the mind 2. This yogi who was successful in absolutely
surrendering to the Divine supreme overcoming the obstacles and
ordeals one has to pass through in the course of spiritual life,
came to join the family of select few known in this country for
their mystic or gnostic knowledge. He who has shed thoughts of
the might of his own capacities used to always keep repeating,
"My Father alone exists; no one else; nothing else".
That also is explanatory of the manner in which lie used to bless
his devotees saying, "My Father'ss grace; My Fathers Blessings
or Blesses". The success achieved by him in effectively
crucifying the egoistic "I or me or mine" helps him
to ever and spontaneously call himself a 'Beggar', and the inevitable
casualty being & sorrow', 'despair' and 'frustration'. He
is always found tasting the nectar of bliss or ananda. Liberation,
he achieved from egotism - the root cause of ruinous down fall
of mankind, lie could not be enslaved by the monsters envy, pride,
fear and prejudice. Discipline of mind which he was able to cultivate,
through his right conduct and right action inculcated in him
'Shanti' and 'Divine Prema' which at times he is able to give
and often generate in the hearts of those who gather around him.
This great Yogi who was not satisfied with mere study-scholarship
of mean mortal things that helps one to eke out a livelihood
during his sojourn on earth which even beasts and birds could
do, endeavoured to study only that which is deathless and able
to manifest fully the supra or special human endoWment of intelligence
and intuition. 'May all the worlds be happy' - being the avowed
goal towards which the eternal and everlasting 'Sanatana Dharma'
which has sustained countless generations in this holy land -
mother Bharat. For many centuries our Yogi has undertaken the
unique and tremendous task of redeeming people of their anxiety
and agitation to ensure peace and security to the people by inculcating
in them confidence in the higher values of life and there by
help our country and the entire world to rise above and lift
itself out of the morass of Poverty, hatred, ignorance and violence. 4. My experience with the Yogi on the eve
of my elevation to the exalted office of Judgeship of the Highe
Court of Madras was unique and an unparalleled one. After submitting
my Medical certificates and other credentials required to the
then Hon'ble the Chief Justice of Madras (Dr. A.S. Anand, presently
His Lordship of the supreme court of India) I rushed to have
darshan of our Yogi. Yogi was seated with closed eyes in the
verandah (Front portion) of his residence at Sannadhi street,
near the Big Temple. A few persons were seated before him and
among them was an elderly gentleman, dark in complexion with
some papers in his hand. When I stood for a split second before
our Yogi, he opened his eyes and gave me the privilege of handing
over some fruits which i carried in my hands. The gentleman who
was sitting by the side of Yogi took a pen from his pocket and
started writing some thing on the reverse of a pamphlet and placed
it at the feet of the Yogi saying that something struck him suddenly
in his mind and that he has put them in writing in the paper
at his feet and there after took leave of the Yogi after getting
prasad from him. Our Yogi asked another devotee who accompanied
me to the place to read what has been written on the paper left
at his feet. The writing was in Tamil language with the following
