Yogi Ramsuratkumar a raconté un jour une histoire.

"Ce mendiant se souvient d'une histoire qu'a racontée Ramakrishna Paramahamsa.

Il y avait une grenouille qui vivait dans un trou. Elle avait une pièce d'une roupie qu'elle avait soigneusement cachée dans le trou et elle la gardait jour et nuit.

Un jour, un éléphant est passé, ses pas secouant la terre, y compris le trou de la grenouille. La grenouille se mit fort en colère et jeta sa patte à l'éléphant comme pour le frapper et elle cria :

- Hé ! Qui croyez- vous etres ? Si je te frappe, en connais-tu les conséquences ?

Le cri n'atteignit pas du tout l'éléphant qui avait parcouru une grande distance.

- Que l'éléphant revienne; je vais lui montrer qui je suis, hurla la grenouille.

- Comment aimez-vous l'histoire, Ramalingam?
- C'est drôle, swami.
- Qu'est-ce qui est drôle ?
- Où est la force de l'éléphant et où est la force d'une grenouille ? Si la patte de l'éléphant touchait la grenouille, la grenouille serait écrasée. Mais elle crie.
- Pourquoi la grenouille a-t-elle crié, Kulothungan ?
- Je ne sais pas, Swami.
- Ramalingam ?
- Sa nature, Swami.
- Non, son arrogance, parce qu'elle possédait une roupie.
- Oui Swami, Quand les gens ont de l'argent, de l'intelligence, de la capacité, ils crient beaucoup.
- Comment crient-ils, Kulothungan ?
- Je vais leur montrer qui je suis.
- Exact.

Swami dit : " Nous sommes tous des grenouilles devant Dieu, l'intelligence et la richesse nous sont données par lui. Cela donne beaucoup d'arrogance ? Mais cela donne cet orgueil.

One day Yogi Ramsuratkumar told a story.

"This beggar remembers a story told by Ramakristrna Paramahamsa.

There was a frog which was living in a hole. It had a rupee coin which it carefully hid inside the hole and guarded it day and night.

One day an elephant passed by, its strides shaking the earth, including the frog's hole. The frog got very angry and threw its leg at the elephant as though to hit it and screamed.

"Hey! who do you think you are? if I kick you, do you know the consequences?"

The shout did not reach the elephant at all as it had travelled a vast distance.

"Let the elephant come again; I'll show him who I am" screamed the frog.

- How do you like the story, Ramalingam?
- It is funny, swami.
- What is funny ?
- Where is the strength of the elephant and where is the strength of a frog? Even if the leg of the elephant touches the frog the frog will be crushed. But it shouts.
- Why did the frog shout, Kulothungan?
- Don't know Swami?
- Ramalingam?
- Its nature Swami.
- No, its arrogance because it possessed a rupee.
- Yes Swami, If people have some money, intelligence, ability, they shout a lot.
- How do they shout, Kulothungan?
- I will show them who I am.
- Correct.

Swami said, "We are all frogs before God; the intelligence and wealth are given by him. This itself gives so much arrogance? But it does give that pride.
"Some people are like that"
