In the year 1979 when I was staying at Ayyangula Agraharam in Thiruvannamalai, my husband Sri. V.R. Srinivasan, thrilled by his meeting with Bhagavan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar, exclaimed to me "I have met an Avatara-Purusha. Do you want to have his Darshan?" "Yes" I replied immediately, "I too would like to have his Darshan."

The very next day, on 6th February 1979 in the morning, my husband took me to Bhagavan's abode and introduced me to Him. Bhagwan was seated at the Thermutti and received us with warmth and love and asked us to sit in front Him. He sat fanning with His Palmyra-fan and intently looked at me, with sparkling eyes.

The grace and compassion that flowed from Bhagavan gave me a peace which I had not experienced till then. Bhagavan's powerful, compassionate gaze went piercing into the depths of my heart and I felt, though I was sitting in His Presence for the first time, He had always known me and I had always known Him. I was immediately drawn to Him, and eagerly sought His Presence, in the midst of my work. Bhagavan's offering of tea, milk and fruits to me, His infectious child-like laughter, His keen interest in my work and the books in English Literature that I handled at college, His quoting from the poems of Kabirdas, all created in me an abiding love for Him, and the feeling that He is my Father and Mother. In the course of one such meeting, Bhagwan gave me and my husband several books, a biography of Him entitled Yogi Ramsuratkumar, The God child, Tiruvannamalai by Truman Caylor
Wadlington, Souvenir Publication brought out at the time of His Jayanthi celebrations in December'78, and two books comprising poems on Him written by the renowned Tamil writer late, Ki. Va. Jagannathan. In one of the books of poems by Ki. Va. Jagannathan on Him, named 'Anbu Malai'. Bhagavan autographed it with my name in Hindi, which gave me great joy, because I have also been a student of Hindi. Bhagavan also gave us His framed photo.

Thereafter Bhagavan used to meet us in His room, spend long hours with us, make us sing Ramnam and His Name, recite slokas from the Gita and suffuse us with the constant Presence of the Divine. Very often He would ask my husband and Sri. G. Sankarrajulu, who was then Principal of Government Arts
College, Tiruvannamalai, and subsequently Deputy Director of College Education and is presently in the service of Bhagavan at Madurai, to recite the Pasurams from Peria Thirumozhi, Thirunadunthandavam, Thirukkurun thandavam, Peria Thirumadal, Siriya Thirumadal and Thiruvizhuk Kootirikkai of Thirumangai Alwar, which are the six angas of the Vedas.

In one such meeting Bhagavan said "The history of India is being written only from the period of Buddha, Ranganayaki will rewrite the history of India from the Vedic period". Though I could not understand the symbolic meaning contained in those words. I and His interest in the promotion of Veda
patashalas and Prabandha Patashalas. Very often Bhagavan would say "To tell you the truth the whole humanity exists only because of the Vedas, the Veda mantras and the great Masters. In this ancient holy land, many great Masters have come and always some great Master or other exists. In fact, this holy land, Bharatadesam - the Indian nation is only the Playground of Great Masters. This is our land. It will always be looked after by my Father. We are lucky to be born in this holy land".

Subsequently when Sri Agnihotram Ramanuja Thathachariar, the Vedic Scholar asked me to help him with his book 'Eternal Relevance of Vedas' in English which was published in 1985 by Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam, I undertook the work. Bhagavan went through every page of the manuscript, for a period of seven months, sitting for long hours into the night with my husband. He did not bother about requirements like food, water and sleep, read every chapter very meticulously and blessed each chapter writing 'OM' on it. Bhagwan told my husband emphatically that He would like to remain totally anonymous about His Contribution to this book. He also commanded my husband that he or myself should not take any money or gifts from Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam for this work.

During my husband's and my long association with Bhagavan, the following messages have been given by Him.

1. In olden days, all our rulers, kings and emperors - used to protect the Sadhus and sanyasins - the realised souls - and paid due respects to them. At times they used to do 'Vadha' - destruction - of the asuras when the asuras tried to torture the Sadhus or sanyasins or tried to give trouble to them.

2. Mango, coconut trees, Srinivasji, give fruits to us and do not expect anything from us. Similarly, clouds give rain without expecting anything in return. Ganga, Yamuna. Saryu, Kaveri give water to us but they don't drink the water. Great people spent their wealth, property for paropakara. Vivekananda,
Mahatma Gandhi all spent their lives for others. People throw stones at mango trees to get the fruits. It puts up with all the beatings.

3. Nellikkai for the body and Ramnam for liberation.

4. It is not easy to get a Guru, a spiritual master. It may take sometimes, many births to get a Spiritual Master. But we must be happy that, atleast by Father's Grace we have got a desire to get a Guru, and to come up in spiritual life.

5. The most essential and important thing in our life is that we should have faith in God, absolute faith in God. If we do not have Guru Bhakti and faith in God, whatever we may possess is of no use. If we have Guru Bhakti and Blessings of the Guru, then it is more than sufficient and it is more than what we can possess materially in this world.

6. Bharata Mata is the Loka Guru, Loka mata and she alone will lead the whole universe in the right direction. India will pave the way for the whole universe. We are always progressing.

7. Swami Ramdas, Aurobindo, Ram Tirtha, Mahatma Gandhi, Bharathiyar and so many Masters predicted that India's time would come and only India could lead the whole universe. Only India can show the correct path.

8. Every man born on this earth is but an incarnation of God. The difference between man and man lies only in the degree of divine manifestation. Saints and seers simply go ahead and others only lag behind in this divine manifestation.

9. He is the King, ruler, great politician of this country, India my land, my homeland, my father's land, holy Land. This beggar's heart-, Dharma bhumi, Punya bhumi, Veda bhumi, the play ground of this beggar. My Father knows how to make us play politics, the game, and how to make India flourish forever in all aspects. Nothing to worry. The land of sages, seers and beggars like me will always exist-this holy land, India.

We are all fortunate to get a place in the hearts of the great Masters. Our Masters will definitely guide us, make us serve our nation - their spiritual playground - India, Bharata Desam, Amar Bharat. They will always look after us, ages after ages, their children to play our part nicely.

10. At least one realised Soul should always exist. Fortunately this Holy land is always protected by Great Masters. Whatever you do, whether you run the government or business or remain in the top most position, unless you do something to protect the sadhus, the sanyasins and the realised souls, it is of no use. You should try to realise yourself, you should always try to move in the right direction shown by the Great Masters. If you have one realised Soul, he will show the way, the right path, to the whole universe, the whole humanity. If you do not protect the Holy men, you are doing nothing for humanity. The whole humanity exists because of the sadhus. To tell you the truth, the Law exists only because of the sadhus.

Over these years I have been the recipient of Bhagavan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar's Infinite Mercy. I realised that all along I am being guided by Him, who though He calls Himself a Beggar and does not care for His external surrounding, is in reality, an Avatara-Purusha come with specif c divine tasks, as declared by Lord Krishna in the Gita. In His infinite Mercy, Bhagavan has removed the obstacles that stood in the way of my God ward path, given me strength and courage and shed Light in my life.

Bhagavan is a vaidya (Vaidyo Narayan Hari) who cures all afflictions, physical and mental, including the affictions of the cycle of birth and death.

En 1979, alors que je séjournais à Ayyangula Agraharam à Tiruvannamalai, mon mari Sri. V.R. Srinivasan, enthousiasmé par sa rencontre avec Bhagavan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar, s'est exclamé : "J'ai rencontré un Avatara-Purusha. Veux-tu avoir son Darshan ?" "- Oui, ai-je répondu immédiatement, moi aussi je voudrais avoir son Darshan".

Le lendemain même, le 6 février 1979 au matin, mon mari m'a emmenée chez Bhagavan et m'a présentée à Lui. Bhagavan était assis au Thermutti et nous a reçus avec chaleur et amour et nous a demandé de nous asseoir devant Lui. Il s'est assis en s'éventant avec son éventail de palmyre et m'a regardé attentivement avec des yeux pétillants.

La grâce et la compassion qui émanaient de Bhagavan m'ont apporté une paix que je n'avais jamais connue jusqu'alors. Le regard puissant et compatissant de Bhagavan est allé percer les profondeurs de mon cœur et j'ai senti, bien que je fus assise en Sa Présence pour la première fois, qu'Il m'avait toujours connue et que je L'avais toujours connu. J'ai été immédiatement attirée vers Lui et j'ai cherché avec empressement Sa Présence au milieu de mon travail. Le fait que Bhagavan m'offre du thé, du lait et des fruits, son rire contagieux d'enfant, son vif intérêt pour mon travail et les livres de littérature anglaise que je traitais au collège, ses citations des poèmes de Kabirdas, tout cela a créé en moi un amour durable pour Lui, et le sentiment qu'Il est mon Père et ma Mère. Au cours d'une de ces rencontres, Bhagavan nous a donné, à moi et à mon mari, plusieurs livres, une biographie de Lui intitulée Yogi Ramsuratkumar, The God child, Tiruvannamalai par Truman Caylor Wadlington, publication souvenir parue à l'occasion des célébrations de Son Jayanti en décembre 1978, et deux livres comprenant des poèmes sur Lui écrits par le célèbre écrivain tamoul Ki. Va. Jagannathan. L'un des livres de poèmes de Ki. Va. Jagannathan sur Lui, appelé 'Anbu Malai', Bhagavan l'a dédicacé avec mon nom en hindi, ce qui m'a donné une grande joie, car j'ai également étudié l'hindi. Bhagavan nous a également donné Sa photo encadrée.

Par la suite, Bhagavan avait l'habitude de nous rencontrer dans Sa chambre, de passer de longues heures avec nous, de nous faire chanter le Ramnam et Son Nom, de réciter des slokas de la Gita et de nous imprégner de la Présence constante du Divin. Très souvent, il demandait à mon mari et à Sri. G. Sankarrajulu, qui était alors directeur du Government Arts College de Tiruvannamalai, puis directeur adjoint de l'enseignement supérieur et qui est actuellement au service de Bhagavan à Madurai, de réciter les Pasurams de Peria Thirumozhi, Thirunadunthandavam, Thirukkurun thandavam, Peria Thirumadal, Siriya Thirumadal et Thiruvizhuk Kootirikkai de Thirumangai Alwar, qui sont les six angas des Vedas.

Lors d'une de ces réunions, Bhagavan a dit : "L'histoire de l'Inde n'est écrite que depuis la période de Bouddha ; Ranganayaki réécrira l'histoire de l'Inde depuis la période védique". Bien que je n'aie pas pu comprendre la signification symbolique contenue dans ces mots, j''ai compris l'intérêt qu'il portait à la promotion des Veda Patashalas et des Prabandha Patashalas. Très souvent, Bhagavan disait : "Pour vous dire la vérité, l'humanité entière n'existe que grâce aux Vedas, aux Veda mantras et aux grands maîtres. Dans cette ancienne terre sainte, de nombreux grands maîtres sont venus et il existe toujours un grand maître ou un autre. En fait, cette terre sainte, Bharatadesam - la nation indienne - n'est que le terrain de jeu des grands maîtres. C'est notre terre. Mon Père s'en occupera toujours. Nous avons de la chance d'être nés sur cette terre sainte".

Par la suite, lorsque Sri Agnihotram Ramanuja Thathachariar, l'érudit védique, m'a demandé de l'aider pour son livre "Pertinence Eternelle des Vedas" en anglais, publié en 1985 par Thirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam, j'ai entrepris le travail. Bhagavan a parcouru chaque page du manuscrit, pendant une période de sept mois, assis pendant de longues heures dans la nuit avec mon mari. Il ne s'est pas soucié des besoins tels que la nourriture, l'eau et le sommeil, Il a lu chaque chapitre très méticuleusement et a béni chaque chapitre en y écrivant "OM". Bhagavan a dit avec insistance à mon mari qu'il souhaitait rester totalement anonyme quant à sa contribution à ce livre. Il a également donné l'ordre à mon mari que lui ou moi-même ne devions pas prendre d'argent ou de cadeaux du Tirumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam pour ce travail.

Au cours de la longue association que mon mari et moi-même avons eue avec Bhagavan, Il a donné les messages suivants :

1. Dans les temps anciens, tous nos dirigeants, rois et empereurs, avaient l'habitude de protéger les sâdhus et les sanyasins - les âmes réalisées - et ils leur rendaient les honneurs qui leur étaient dus. Ils avaient parfois l'habitude de faire le 'vadha' - la destruction - des asuras lorsque ces derniers essayaient de torturer les sâdhus ou les sanyasins ou de leur causer des problèmes.

2. Les manguiers, les cocotiers, Srinivasji, nous donnent des fruits et n'attendent rien de nous. De même, les nuages donnent la pluie sans rien attendre en retour. Ganga, Yamuna. Saryu, Kaveri nous donnent de l'eau mais ils ne boivent pas l'eau. De grands personnages ont dépensé leurs richesses, leurs biens pour le paropakara (œuvres de charité (ndt)). Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi ont tous passé leur vie pour les autres. Les gens jettent des pierres sur les manguiers pour en obtenir les fruits. Ils supportent tous les coups.

3. Nellikkai (espèce de groseille à masquereau (ndt)) pour le corps et Ramnam pour la libération.

4. Il n'est pas facile d'obtenir un Guru, un maître spirituel. Cela peut prendre parfois de nombreuses naissances pour obtenir un maître spirituel. Mais nous devons être heureux que, au moins, par la grâce de Père, nous ayons obtenu le désir d'obtenir un Guru et de nous élever dans la vie spirituelle.

5. La chose la plus essentielle et la plus importante dans notre vie est que nous devons avoir la foi en Dieu, une foi absolue en Dieu. Si nous n'avons pas Guru Bhakti et la foi en Dieu, tout ce que nous pouvons posséder n'est d'aucune utilité. Si nous avons Guru Bhakti et les bénédictions du Guru, alors c'est plus que suffisant et c'est plus que ce que nous pouvons posséder matériellement dans ce monde.

6. Bharata Mata est le Loka Guru, Loka mata et elle seule conduira tout l'univers entier dans la bonne direction. L'Inde pavera la voie à l'univers entier. Nous progressons toujours.

7. Swami Ramdas, Aurobindo, Ram Tirtha, Mahatma Gandhi, Bharathiyar et tant de maîtres ont prédit que le temps de l'Inde viendrait et que seule l'Inde pourrait diriger l'univers entier. Seule l'Inde peut montrer le bon chemin.

8. Tout homme né sur cette terre n'est rien d'autre qu'une incarnation de Dieu. La différence entre un homme et un autre réside uniquement dans le degré de manifestation divine. Les saints et les prophètes vont simplement de l'avant et les autres ne font que rester à la traîne dans cette manifestation divine.

9. Il est le Roi, le dirigeant, le grand politicien de ce pays, l'Inde ma terre, ma patrie, la terre de mon Père, la terre sainte, le cœur de ce mendiant, Dharma bhumi, Punya bhumi, Veda bhumi, le terrain de jeu de ce mendiant. Mon Père sait comment nous faire jouer à la politique, le jeu, et comment faire prospérer l'Inde pour toujours à tous égards. Rien à craindre. Le pays des sages, des visionnaires et des mendiants comme moi existera toujours - cette terre sainte, l'Inde.

Nous avons tous la chance d'avoir une place dans le cœur des grands maîtres. Nos Maîtres vont certainement nous guider, nous faire servir notre nation - leur terrain de jeu spirituel - India, Bharata Desam, Amar Bharat. Ils veilleront toujours sur nous à travers les âges, nous leurs enfants pour que nous jouions bien notre rôle.

10. Il devrait toujours y avoir au moins une âme réalisée. Heureusement, cette terre sainte est toujours protégée par de grands maîtres. Quoi que vous fassiez, que vous dirigiez le gouvernement ou les affaires ou que vous restiez dans la position la plus élevée, si vous ne faites rien pour protéger les sâdhus, les sannyasins et les âmes réalisées, cela ne sert à rien. Vous devez essayer de vous réaliser, vous devez toujours essayer d'aller dans la bonne direction indiquée par les grands maîtres. Si vous avez une seule âme réalisée, elle montrera la voie, le bon chemin, à l'univers entier, à l'humanité entière. Si vous ne protégez pas les hommes saints, vous ne faites rien pour l'humanité. L'humanité entière existe grâce aux sâdhus. Pour vous dire la vérité, la Loi n'existe que grâce aux sadhus.

Au cours de ces années, j'ai bénéficié de l'infinie miséricorde de Bhagavan Sri Yogi Ramsuratkumar. J'ai pris conscience que, tout au long de mon parcours, j'ai été guidé par Lui qui, bien qu'il se qualifie de mendiant et ne se soucie pas de son environnement extérieur, est en réalité un Avatara-Purusha venu avec des tâches divines spécifiques, comme l'a déclaré le Seigneur Krishna dans la Gita. Dans son infinie miséricorde, Bhagavan a supprimé les obstacles qui se dressaient sur mon chemin vers Dieu, m'a donné force et courage et a apporté la Lumière dans ma vie.

Bhagwan est un vaidya (Vaidyo Narayan Hari) qui guérit toutes les maladies, physiques et mentales, y compris les maladies du cycle de la naissance et de la mort.
