Sri. Murugesh, le Directeur Général des Tuticorin Spinning Mills, était un grand dévot de Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar. Malgré sa franchise, au point même d'être rude, il était fort attaché à Bhagavan et Bhagavan le comblait de son amour et de son affection. Connaissant sa grande dévotion, Bhagavan lui permettait de grandes libertés envers Lui-même, libertés qu'il ne permettait pas aux autres.

Dans la maison de Sannadi Street, Bhagavan avait un grand pot de terre qu'il remplissait tous les jours d'eau potable. Il utilisait un vieux gobelet en aluminium. L'aluminium est maintenant considéré comme un métal inférieur que, dans la plupart des familles du Sud, on n'utilise pas pour faire la cuisine ou pour garder l'eau. Mais la simplicité et l'utilité étaient tout ce qui importait à Bhagavan.

Murugeshji comprenait tout ça, mais il pensait que le Maître ne pouvait pas en être réduit à boire de l'eau dans un gobelet en aluminium.

Un jour, il a offert un bol en argent et il a demandé à Bhagavan de s'en servir au lieu de se servir du gobelet en aluminium

Bhagavan a accepté le magnifique récipient en argent et l'a posé à côté de lui. La conversation a couvert différents sujets puis elle est revenue au bol en argent. Bhagavan a dit :

- Murugeshji, tu as donné ce bol à ce mendiant et ce mendiant l'a accepté.

- Oui Swamiji.

- Maintenant ce bol appartient à ce mendiant, vrai ?

- Oui Swamiji.

- Ce mendiant peut en faire ce qu'il veut ?

- Oui Swamiji.

- Ça ne vas pas t'agacer si ce mendiant le donne ?

- Vous pouvez en faire ce que vous voulez.

Bhagavan s'est alors tourné vers Vijayanand, (Rajeshvari Amma, son fils Vijay Anand et d'autres membres de la famille était présents à ce moment-là), l'a appelé et lui a dit :

- Vijay Anand, je vais te donner un travail à faire.

Vijay Anand s'est incliné devant Lui et a dit :

- Oui, Swamiji.

Bhagavan a emballé le pot très soigneusement et a dit :

- Tu vas aussi au mariage de Sarada, n'est-ce pas ? (Sarada est la nièce de Shri Murugesh, étant la fille de Smt. Indira, soeur aînée de Shri Murugesh.)

- Oui Swamiji.

- Tu dois prendre ce bol avec toi et le donner comme cadeau de mariage. Tu le porteras personnellement et tu le donneras à Sarada de tes propres mains. Compris ?

- Oui Swamiji.

Vijayanand a pris le paquet des mains de Swamji avec des mains qui tremblaient. Vijayanand, très jeune homme à l'époque, était par nature quelqu'un de très timide et il avait même très peur de regarder les femmes. Même lorsqu'on lui faisait accompagner sa sœur, il gardait une certaine distance ! Naturellement, il s'est donc mis à trembler quand il a reçu l'article des mains de Bhagavan pour l'offrir à la fiancée en personne et cela devant une grande réunion d'invités au mariage !

Après que Bhagavan les ait quittés, Murugeshji a prévenu Vijay Anand :

- Tu dois faire très attention à ce cadeau. L'épreuve que Bhagavan te donne n'est pas si simple. Il pourrait même le faire disparaître pour t'éprouver.

Cela n'a fait qu'augmenter la souffrance de Vijayanand qui l'a gardé chez lui dans un endroit sûr. Le mariage était dans quelques semaines et Anand vérifiait tous les jours que le cadeau était intact ! Le jour du mariage est finalement arrivé et Vijay Anand a pu présenter le cadeau à la mariée de ses propres mains, en disant que c'était un cadeau de Yogi Ramsuratkumar et en outre un cadeau spécial.

Bel exemple de notre Bhagavan qui convertit un cadeau gênant en une bénédiction sans blesser ni heurter les sentiments de personne.

Sri. Murugesh, the Managing Director of Tuticorin Spinning Mills was a great devotee of Bhagavan Yogi Ramsuratkumar. In spite of his being frank even to the point of rudeness, he was greatly devoted of Bhagavan and Bhagavan showered his love and affection on him. Knowing his great devotion, Bhagavan allowed him to take great liberties with himself which he did not allow to other devotees.

In Sannadhi Street house Bhagavan used to keep a large mud pot and have it filled with drinking water everyday. He used an old aluminium tumbler. Now, aluminium is considered an inferior metal, not to be used for cooking or for potable water in most households in the South. But simplicity and utility were all that Bhagavan cared for.

Murugeshji understood all this but still he felt that the Master should not be reduced to drinking water in an aluminium tumbler.

One day he offered a small silver pot which he requested Bhagavan to use instead of the aluminium tumbler.

Bhagavan accepted the beautiful silver vessel and kept it by his side. The conversation covered diverse topics and carne back to the silver pot. Bhagavan said, "Murugeshji, you have given this pot to this beggar and this beggar has accepted it."

" Yes Swamiji."

" Now the pot belongs to this beggar, right?"

" Yes Swamiji."

" This beggar can do whatever he likes with it?"

" Yes Swamiji."

" You will not worry f this beggar gives it away?"

" You can do whatever you like with it."

Now Bhagavan turned to Vijayanand, (Rajeswari Amma, her son Vijay Anand and a few other family members were present at the time) called him and said
"Vrjay Anand, I am going to give you some work."

Vijay Anand bowed before Him and said, "Yes Swamiji."

Now Bhagavan very carefully wrapped up the pot and said, "You are also attending Sarada's
wedding, is it not." (Sarada is the niece of Shri. Murugesh, being the daughter of Smt. Indira, elder sister of Shri. Murugesh.)

" Yes Swamiji."

" You have to take this pot with you and give this as a wedding present. You are carrying it personally and give it to Sarada with your own hands. Understand?"

" Yes Swamiji."

With trembling hands Vijayanand took the package from Swamiji's hands. Now Vijayanand, a very young man at the time, was by nature very shy and was too scared even to look at women. Even when sent to accompany his own sister, he would maintain a distance! So naturally he trembled as he received the gift article from Bhagavan, to be delivered to the bride in person, in front of a large gathering of invitees for the wedding!

After Bhagavan left them Murugeshji warned Vijay Anand, "You must be careful with that gift. The test Bhagavan has given you is not so simple. He might even make it disappear, in order to test you."

This only increased the misery of Vijayanand who kept it in a safe place in his home. The wedding was a few weeks away and Anand checked every day whether the gift was intact! Finally the wedding day arrived and Vijay Anand was able to present the gift to the bride with his own hands, narrating that it is a gift from Yogi Ramsuratkumar and a special one at that.

A beautiful instance of our Bhagavan converting an inconvenient gift into a blessing without hurting anyone's feelings.
