Bhagawan, sitting in the verandah of Sannadhi Street, was expanding "Everything is Father, Here, there, everywhere. There is nothing but Father" Some one had a doubt (We all have, don't we?)

What about things which have no life, Bhagawan?

That is also Father. It appears like. No life but, the all present consciousness is there."

But the doubt persisted and it was resolved a long time afterwards when Ma Devaki narrated a conversation between herself and Bhagavan. They were going round the Ashram before the construction began. Bhagawan asked her whether the plants, flower etc., had life in them. Ma Devaki replied in the affirmative. "What about the earth from which the plants grow?"

"Surely the soil is lifeless" she replied.

Then Bhagawan asked her a crucial question "How can all the plants grow from a lifeless soil?

So, there. The life, the consciousness the chit" has all along been there and in a way we could not recognize. lt was there which had given birth to varieties of life, the plant family which we can see grow and decay and die.

It is not only the plant family. All those leading a life on earth are satuid by earth that is why the earth is called the "Mother earth."

The day a Madhwa gentleman came to Sannidhi Street and started explaining the greatness of Madhwa Sampradayam. I thought it odd that he should try to sell dvaita Vedanta total advaitic but watched with interest the discussion that followed.

However hard he tried he could not move Bhagawan's authoritative pronouncement "Father alone exists." It was interesting to watch the dvaita Vedanta infold before the audience only to be met with repeated pronouncement from Bhagawan that there is only Father.

Afterwards I mustered up enough courage to ask Him "if it is possible to see God?"

Bhagawan continued to smoke with a distant look in His eyes. Then He said "You see, once a baby fish asked His mother, Ma can you show me the ocean? Every one keep talking about the ocean."

Mother fish laughed and said son, you are living in the ocean, surrounded by the ocean, eating what is given by the ocean - you have your life in the ocean. What can I show you?"

Bhagawan fell silent.

Well everything seemed to fall into place.

We have our being in the endless vast consciousness which some people call "Braham" same "Atma" some the "Self" and Bhagawan "Father." It is what humanity has been searching for ages and our ancient rishis developed an extraordinary insight owing to their vigorous austerities giving birth to the Vedas and Vedanthas and the immeasurable Sastras which seem to predict many of the modern scientific discoveries. More of that later.

Bhagawan's declaration that "Father alone exists," can be compared to the Upanishadic pre-measurement "Aham Brahmasmi," "Tattvamasi" etc. Let us concentrate on the divine mantra "Yogi Ramsuratkumar" and try to merge in Him.

Bhagavan, assis dans la véranda de la rue Sannadhi, développait "Tout est Père, ici, là, partout. Il n'y a rien d'autre que Père " Quelqu'un a eu un doute (nous en avons tous, n'est-ce pas ?).

Qu'en est-il des choses qui n'ont pas de vie, Bhagavan ?

C'est aussi Père. C'est ce qui apparaît. Il n'y a pas de vie, mais la conscience omniprésente est là.

Mais le doute persistait et il fut résolu longtemps après lorsque Ma Devaki raconta une conversation entre elle et Bhagavan. Ils faisaient le tour de l'ashram avant le début des travaux. Bhagavan lui demanda si les plantes, les fleurs, etc. avaient de la vie en elles. Ma Devaki répondit par l'affirmative. "Mais qu'en est-il de la terre à partir de laquelle les plantes poussent ?

Elle répondit : "Le sol est certainement sans vie".

Bhagavan lui posa alors une question cruciale : "Comment toutes les plantes peuvent-elles pousser à partir d'un sol sans vie ?

C'est donc là. La vie, la conscience, le " chit" a toujours été là et d'une manière que nous ne pouvions pas reconnaître. C'est là que sont nées les variétés de vie, la famille des plantes que nous pouvons voir grandir, se décomposer et mourir.

Il n'y a pas que la famille des plantes. Tous ceux qui mènent une vie sur terre sont nourris par la terre, c'est pourquoi la terre est appelée la "terre mère".

Le jour où un monsieur du Madhva est venu à Sannidhi Street et a commencé à expliquer la grandeur du Madhva Sampradayam, j'ai trouvé étrange qu'il essaie de vendre le dvaïta Vedanta comme étant totalement advaïtique, mais j'ai suivi avec intérêt la discussion qui s'en est suivie.

Malgré tous ses efforts, il n'a pas réussi à faire bouger la déclaration autoritaire de Bhagavan : "Seul Père existe". Il était intéressant de voir le dvaïta Vedanta se déployer devant l'auditoire et de voir Bhagavan répéter qu'il n'y a que Père.

Ensuite, j'ai rassemblé assez de courage pour lui demander "s'il était possible de voir Dieu".

Bhagavan a continué à fumer avec un regard distant. Puis il a dit : "Vous voyez, un jour un bébé poisson a demandé à sa mère : "Ma, peux-tu me montrer l'océan ? Tout le monde parle de l'océan."

Sa mère a ri et lui a dit : "Mon fils, tu vis dans l'océan, tu es entouré par l'océan, tu manges ce que l'océan te donne - ta vie est dans l'océan. Que puis-je te montrer ?"

Bhagavan se tut.

Eh bien, tout semblait se mettre en place.

Notre être se trouve dans la vaste conscience sans fin que certains appellent "Braham" ou "Atma", d'autres le "Soi" et Bhagavan "Père". C'est ce que l'humanité recherche depuis des siècles et nos anciens rishis ont développé une extraordinaire perspicacité grâce à leurs vigoureuses austérités qui ont donné naissance aux Vedas, aux Vedantas et aux incommensurables Sastras qui semblent prédire bon nombre des découvertes scientifiques modernes. Nous y reviendrons plus tard.

La déclaration de Bhagavan selon laquelle "seul Père existe" peut être comparée à la prémesure upanishadique "Aham Brahmasmi", "Tattvamasi", etc. Concentrons-nous sur le mantra divin "Yogi
Ramsuratkumar" et essayons de nous fondre en Lui.
