My parents worshipped Kusuma Haranath, endearingly known as Pagal Haranath by His devotees - Haranath (1865) and Kusuma Kumari (1870). I am following in the footsteps of my parents. Right from my childhood we had association with Sadhus and Saints. Therefore we developed a craze for them. When I heard from my friend R.K.Alwar about Gurudev Yogi Ramsuratkumar, I became very anxious to have his darsan. It was somewhere in 1977, our Director/Finance (NLC Ltd.) Sri V.Ramanujachari took me and Alwar in his car to Tiruvannamalai and introduced me to Gurudev. It was an old building in Sannadhi street in which Gurudev was housed by the devotees. Prior to that I was told that for 12 years he lived under the trees during day time and took shelter in the verandahs of the shops closed for the night. There were several devotees sitting in the hall. There was no external order of the things around him (at least it appeared so to human reason). Some packets, sacks of various articles, bottles, tins, withered flower garlands, drying fruits, etc. were lying helter-skelter all around. Besides Gurudev was a chain smoker. I was not conscious of those surroundings. The mind was eager to establish rapport with this Mahatma who called himself "This beggar." Our Director/Finance introduced me saying, "This is Haragopal, a devotee of Kusuma Haranath." Gurudev exclaimed, "What! Devotee of Pagal Haranath!" Then he invoked in a loud voice, "JAI HARANATH, JAI HARANATH." Tears started rolling down my cheeks. I was in ecstasy. I prostrated before him and sat amongst the devotees. He touched my soul with that utterance. This is the uniqueness
of Gurudev, touching the soul at the very first meeting. This
must be the experience of all the devotees who went to him for
the first time. They would have felt peace in their soul and
attraction towards him. As an example, I will narrate an episode.
(I am not able to trace this in my writings; however it is still
fresh in my memory). Once I went in the company of a few devotees
from Neyveli to visit Gurudev in the Sannadhi street building.
We stayed with him for some time and had pleasant conversation.
After taking his blessings, when we came out of the building,
one devotee by name Dr. Meharotra, Chief Dental Surgeon of NLC
ltd, started repeatedly exclaiming, "What a peace! What
a peace!" This was his first visit to Gurudev. By this,
my inference is that only those who are ready for the Divine
Grace would be able to visit Gurudev. The very fact that a person
has been attracted towards Gurudev is a proof that that soul
is ready for Grace. |
A titre d'exemple,
plusieurs reprises: " Quelle paix ! Quelle paix ! "
