La Gita énonce la doctrine de l'unité du Seigneur. " Quiconque vient à moi sous quelque forme que ce soit, je viens à lui. Tous les hommes se débattent par des chemins qui finalement conduisent à Moi. " Swami Vivekananda a tonné à Chicago : " Sans ces horribles démons, la société humaine serait bien plus avancée qu'elle ne l'est maintenant. " " J'espère ardemment, a ajouté le moine, que la cloche qui a sonné en l'honneur de cette convention (Chicago) puisse être le glas de tout fanatisme, de toutes les persécutions par l'épée ou la plume et de tous les sentiments non charitables entre ceux qui se dirigent de cette façon vers le même objectif. " Cet objectif fixé par le Swamiji il y a une centaine d'années n'a pas encore été atteint. D'un autre côté, nous voyons le monde moderne poursuivre agressivement des chemins de lucre et de plaisir sans même un instant penser qu'il y a un Dieu au-dessus. Parmi un certain nombre de sages qui travaillent pour aider l'humanité, Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar " Le Dieu-Enfant de Tiruvannamalai " est fort unique à bien des égards. Ce qui rend le Yogi aussi différent, c'est sa simplicité, sa piété et son absence de tout attirail et de toute pompe. Ses fidèles célèbrent son 80e anniversaire le 1er décembre 1997. Il n'est pas du tout attaché au monde matériel et le " taraka mantra " du Yogi est " Mon Père seul existe, rien d'autre, personne d'autre ". Le Yogi brille comme un phare pour les hommes et les femmes de tous horizons. Des gens du monde entier se pressent pour suivre le Yogi qui apporte paix, réconfort et la sobriété. Swami Ramsuratkumar a influencé des myriades de ses fidèles par sa vie simple, sa haute pensée et l'importance indubitable qu'il a mis sur la suprématie du Divin. Tiruvannamalai, le lieu sacré, tenu dans une admiration révérencielle depuis des temps immémoriaux, a été un grand centre de dévotion qui attirait les savants de loin et de près. La grande Fête des Lumières connue sous le nom d' " Annamalai Dipam " attire des dévots du monde entier. Saint Thirugnanasambandar a déclaré : " Ceux qui prient Annamalai seront soulagés des douleurs du destin et leurs maux seront détruits. " L'Arunachala Puranam déclare que si vous allez à Chidambaram, vous obtenez mukti, si vous mourez à Varanasi, vous obtenez mukti, si vous êtes né à Thiruvarur, vous obtenez mukti, si vous marchez à Kanchi, vous obtenez mukti. Mais si simplement vous pensez à Tiruvannamalai, vous obtenez mukti. Telle est la grandeur de cette ville-temple. La première fois que j'ai vu le Yogi, il était assis, vêtu de vieux vêtements avec des liasses de vieux journaux autour de lui et un éventail à la main. (Il était connu sous le nom de Visiri Swami). Quand je l'ai vu pour la première fois, je suis resté là, subjugué. Ce fut Swamiji qui parla le premier. Il dit : " Mon cher fils, je vous attendais, asseyez-vous. " J'ai pris conscience que j'étais en présence glorieuse d'un saint enfant de Dieu, mais je n'ai jamais réalisé qu'il allait avoir un grand impact sur ma vie. Ma fréquentation du Yogi s'est poursuivie avec vigueur pendant des années jusqu'à ce jour. Je lui ai rendu visite plusieurs fois. Alors qu'on me demandait de devenir le Recteur fondateur de l'Université centrale de Pondichéry, je suis allé à Tiruvannamalai pour chercher les bénédictions du Swami. Plusieurs incidents dans ma vie qui m'ont aidé à renforcer ma foi et ma croyance en le Swami. Tiruvannamalai a le " Kartika Dipam " une fois par an, mais à Agrahara Collai (n ° 1833/1, Chengam Road, Tiruvannamalai), est assis pour toujours la " Boule de Feu " si fraîche et si belle, qui fait pleuvoir Sa grâce sur tous, indépendamment de la caste, de la couleur ou de la religion. Il accomplit des miracles en silence et nettoie complètement votre âme. Son toucher est magique il vous fait revivre. Celui qui a le privilège de le rencontrer retourne chez lui meilleure personne. Ses fidèles se comptent par centaines. La formule du bonheur de Yogiji est simple : " Pensez au Maître et Il vous protégera. " Ce Yogi demande constamment à Son Maître là-haut d'aider ses fidèles. Ainsi, le Yogi de Tiruvannamalai est un phénomène rare et sa présence parmi nous est une bénédiction pour nous. Pur conclure, j'ai un véritable incident à raconter. Je suis un grand admirateur de Rajiv Gandhi. J'ai écrit la biographie d'Indira Gandhi, préfacée par R. Venkatraman, ancien Président. Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar aimait aussi beaucoup Rajiv Gandhi. Nous pensions l'emmener à Yogi Ramsuratkumar lors de sa tournée au Tamil Nadu et à Pondichéry, en mai 1991. Début mai 1991, j'ai rencontré le Yogi et lui ai dit que j'allais à Delhi pour voir Rajiv Gandhi et je voulais la permission du Yogi pour amener Rajiv Gandhi à Tiruvannamalai pour qu'il ait son darshan (de Yogiji). Yogiji s'est crispé et a prononcé ces mots : " Non, non. N'essayez pas d'amener Rajiv Gandhi ici. Il ne peut pas venir, il ne peut pas venir. " et le Yogi a disparu dans les pièces intérieures de la maison de Sannidhi street. J'ai été surpris, mais je n'ai pas soufflé mot. Mon ami feu A.R.P.N. Rajamanickam Nadar et moi n'avons pu déchiffrer ces paroles prophétiques du Yogi que le 21 mai, lorsque Rajiv Gandhi a été assassiné. Était-ce divine intuition, prophétie, seconde vue, voyance ou simples paroles informelles après avoir regardé dans l'avenir? Je ne sais pas. Mais cet épisode me hante encore aujourd'hui. Mais le fait est que ce saint, qui est le maître du passé, du présent et de l'avenir à Tiruvannamalai, a dit ces paroles et Rajiv ne pouvait vraiment pas venir. Comme le juge T.S. Swami Vivekananda thundered at Chicago, "had it not been for these horrible demons, human society would be far more advanced than it is now." "I fervently hope," the monk added, "that the bell that tolled in honour of this convention (Chicago) may be the death knell of all fanaticism of all persecutions with the sword or with the pen and of all uncharitable feelings between people wending this way to the same goal." This goal set by the Swamiji 100-odd years ago has not yet been reached. On the other hand, we find the modern world aggressively pursuing paths of pelf and pleasure without even, for a moment, thinking there is a God above. Of the quite a few sages who are working at helping humanity, Yogi Sri Ramsuratkumar "The God-Child of Thiruvannamalai" is very unique in many respects. What makes the Yogi as different is his utter simplicity, piety and absence of any paraphernalia and pomp. His devotees celebrate his 80th birthday on December 1 , 1997. He is not attached to the material world at all and the "tharaka manthra" of the Yogi is "My Father alone exists, nothing else; nobody else." The Yogi shines as a beacon light to men and women from all walks of life. People from all over the globe throng to follow the Yogi who gives peace, solace and sobriety. Swami Ramsuratkumar has influenced myriads of his devotees by his simple living and high thinking and his unmistakable emphasis of the Supremacy of the Divine. Thiruvannamalai, the sacred place, held in reverential awe from time immemorial, has been a great centre of devotion attracting savants from far and near. The great Festival of Lights known as "Annamalai Deepam" draws devotees from all over the world. Saint Thirugnanasambandar said, "those who pray to Annamalai will get relieved from the pains of fate and their ills will get demolished." Arunachala Puranam states that if you go to Chidambaram, you get mukthi, if you die at Varanasi, ÿou get mukthi, if you are born at Thiruvârur, you get mukthi, if you walk in Kanchi, ÿou get mukthi. But if you just think of Thiruvannamalai, you get mukthi. Such is the greatness of this temple town. The first time I saw the Yogi, he was sitting, clad in old clothes with bundles of o1d newspapers around him and with a fan in the hand. (He was known as the Visiri Swami) When I saw him for the first time, I stood there transfixed. It was Swamiji who spoke first. He said, "My dear son, I was expecting you, sit down." I realised that I was in the glorious presence of a holy God child, but never realised that he was going to have great impact on my life. My association with the Yogi continued with vigour for years till date. I have visited him a number of times. While I was asked to become the founding Vice-Chancellor of the Central University, Pondicherry, I went to Thiruvannamalai to seek the Swami's blessings. There have been several incidents in my life which have helped me strengthen my faith and belief in the Swami. Thiruvannamalai has the "Karthika Deepam" once a year, but at Agrahara Collai (No. 1833 / 1, Chengam Road, Thiruvannamalai), sits for ever, the "Ball of Fire" so cool and fine, showering His grace on all, irrespective of caste, colour or religion. He performs miracles silently and cleanses your soul completely.
His touch is magic it revives you. This Yogi is constantly asking His Master above to help his devotees. Thus, the Yogi of Thiruvannamalai, is a rare phenomenon and his very presence in our midst is a benediction to us. As a tail piece, I have a true incident to narrate. I am a

Yogi Sri In early May, 1991, I met the Yogi and told him that I was
going to Delhi to meet Rajiv Gandhi and I wanted the Yogi's permission
to take Rajiv Gandhi to Thiruvannamalai to have His darshan. Was it divine intuition, prophecy, second sight, clairvoyance or mere casual words after looking into the future? I do not know. But, this episode haunts me even today. But, the fact was that this saint, who is the Master of the
past, the present and the future at Thiruvannamalai, said these
words and Rajiv really could not come. As Mr. Justice T.S. Arunachalam,
